More to the point, what do you think will happen to everything uploaded over the years by members..??

Does anyone really believe the servers will be turned off and the hard drives wiped..??

Greedy people are going to continue to use the pictures, video and stories to make money, just as they have been doing.

as far as things wiped, there is the internet archive waybackmachine

i believe this can be to access pages aside the most recent. i once found a lost story on another site with that archive.

this may help in saving more reading material at least, and possibly pics depending where they were actually hosted

edit: that link just goes to waybackmachine site then if you type beastforum in the search it will give some calendar dates and clicking on one of those should let you view old pages

Thank you Jaydog for setting up this new home;)
I've been on BF for 15 years, and only saw the announcement of impending shutdown a month ago - and been busy in life lately, so missed many of the recent posts about alternative sites - glad I saw one mention of the name of your new site, and with several tries at typing an address into the browser found one that worked:)  So guess I might be one of the first uninvited guests;)
Kind of held wake last night as BF counted down, browsed places I hadn't made it to before and saw new things - and lots of people recently banned for some minor transgression!  Wonder why Beaker didn't just ban everyone?!

I am so happy yo see all of you here! It makes me glad that you listened to my humble request for you to check this place out! I am sure you will all enjoy it here as much as I have these past few weeks.

And yes Silkythighs, it truly is great to be back among friends! Which is why I so highly recommended this place. And made sure I invited those of you who made BF so warm and inviting of a place. I wish I had thought about inviting people earlier. So I could have reached more people. There are so many people that I respected and admired so much from their posts, yet never had much of a chance to interact with. It made me nervous sending them a message. For fear of them wondering who the heck this strange person is spamming me with yet another unknown site.

I also suggest that everyone posts their intros on the Introduction Section in the General Chat area. And to announce any name changes if you have done so. Most of us have kept our names from BF and our same avatars too. In order to be more readily recognizable, and for continuity.

Thank you again jaydoy for all the work you in getting this started, and building it up. Takes a lot of time, I'm guessing, never did anything like this before. Sure it is not done over night.. Seeing the site grow by the day, more and more are finding their way here. I remember last week there was least than 100..

One of them Banned me about 14 years ago on BF, and Beaker let me come back under a different and stayed til the last day, I was on there with 6 hours to go, and had to go to bad for work, so I was there from the start of BF, til the end..
