Good luck on the new forum!

So, how do you upload an image so that it actually appears onscreen when a thread is opened?

I see you did my friend. And thank you for you shares!

But for those who may run into the same problem....

Click on: "Attachments and other options"

For multiple files, drag your fies from your folder directly into the box with which says "Add files by dragging & dropping or selecting them"
Then click on the "POST" button.
Images should now show up in your post.

For single files: you can use the same drag and drop method, or click on "CHOOSE FILE", and navigate to your desired file, and click "OPEN".
When the file shows up, just click on "POST".

Hey, I am currently uploading my captions. I got an error message when I tried posting one set of them. It said something about my attachment not passing the security thing or something.

Help!

Im sorry, I had that problem before. It`s a bug in the forum`s upload system.
Let me try to re find the solution, and I`ll let you know ASAP :)

Im sorry for the inconvinience CuriousCD.
From what I researched, it`s been a bug for years, hopefully they will fix and update the script.
The solution may be another inconvinience too  :(

The fix is the same solution as I posted for uploading animated gifs. I remember getting that error, when I tried uploading certain animated gifs and PNG files which had different coding than normal.
I actually could not find a fix online, but I did tinker with it and figured out a work around.

The gallery uploader is a not part of the forum script, so it has it`s own security rules that do not have to abide with the forum`s security.

Upload the file to your gallery. (Every member has their own personal gallery here)
As soon as the upload completes, there will be a BB code under your image.
Just paste that code into your post and your images should appear.

Please give it a try, and let me know if it works.
I apologize for the inconvenience.

Thank you again for sharing your wonderful captions!

Thank you. That worked. Except for two of my images which were a little too big for the post. They were cropped on the one side. So, I took them out and mentioned there were more in My Gallery.

Is there a way to resize images like that? If not, no worries. Since they are fine in My Gallery.

Also... Is it possible to post MP4s? I have a few of those as well, I would love to post.

I have a question about the terms of use. It says no posting of any material sexually oriented. But this whole forum is sexually oriented. Can someone explain please?

hahaha sorry DM, thats just the standard unedited TOS that comes with the forum script .
I haven`t had time to edit it.
But the TOS is tied to me, so by all means, post sexually oriented material! LOL

Nice to see you here my friend!

EDIT: FIXED

I was able to upload some MP4s. They work fine. Albeit a bit slow to download and open. But they are larger than image files.

They do not have a thumbnail or preview image as with regular image files. It would be cool to have them, but not totally necessary.

I am happy to have a place to post them again!

Im sorry that I could not get back to you sooner as I just got home from work a little while ago.
I will check into the thumbnail issue and let you know because I want thumbnails too! hehehe  ;D
Again, Thank you for helping get the ball rolling, and for letting me know about forum issues. You have been a great help!

No problem! It is my pleasure to do so! I know how hard it is to create something, and not have anyone give good feedback in order to work with and improve on it with.

And I hope to inspire others to keep the ball rolling, so that this forum becomes a home like BF was. Forums and groups only work when people actually use them and speak up in them.
